About Eastern Wave Acupuncture

Eastern Wave Acupuncture was born from a deep respect for the healing traditions that flow through time and across cultures. Our approach is rooted in the wisdom of integrative medicine—where acupuncture, herbal therapies, mindful movement, and dietary guidance come together to support your body’s natural ability to heal.

India, our founder, started her journey with a deep curiosity about the mind-body connection, which led to study yoga and explore the roots of holistic wellness. That passion later flowed into the vibrant streets of Chinatown in Los Angeles, where learning Tai Chi and herbalism deepened a lifelong commitment to ancient healing practices. From buying herbs from local shops to immersing in community wellness spaces, each experience helped shape the heart and philosophy of Eastern Wave.

Today, we bring that same intentional, personalized care to every session—combining modern understanding with time-tested therapies to help you relieve pain, manage stress, and reconnect with balance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions answered.

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a therapeutic technique rooted in holistic medicine, where fine needles are inserted into specific points on the body. It’s used to support the nervous system, relieve pain, improve circulation, and encourage the body’s natural healing processes.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Not really! Most people feel minimal sensation, if any. Some describe a brief pinch or a dull ache that quickly fades. Treatments are designed to be gentle and relaxing—you might even drift off during your session.

How many treatments will I need?

Every person is different. Some conditions respond quickly, while others may require ongoing care. We’ll evaluate your needs and create a plan that fits your health goals and schedule.

How do I get started?

Start by booking a Free Acupuncture Support Call—this is your initial assessment where we’ll discuss your health concerns, goals, and whether acupuncture is the right fit for you. From there, we’ll guide you in scheduling your first treatment session tailored to your needs.

Do you accept insurance?

We’re happy to provide a detailed receipt (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Coverage varies, so it’s best to check with your provider beforehand.

Do you accept FSA or HSA payments?

Yes! You can use your FSA or HSA card for eligible acupuncture and wellness services, just like any other health-related expense.

What are your prices?

Our fees depend on the type and length of the session. For a full list of services and pricing, please visit our website or reach us out via call or email—we’re happy to walk you through it.

Do you do dry needling?

As a licensed acupuncturist, I have undergone extensive training in acupuncture techniques, including dry needling.
